Air India Baggage Allowance

Passengers traveling with Air India are welcome to bring the following:

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

• Economy Class: 1 piece, up to 8 kg

• Business / First Class: 2 pieces, up to 12 kg in total

• Bag size limit: 55 × 35 × 25 cm per piece

Checked Baggage Allowance

Domestic Flights (within India)

• First Class: 40 kg

• Business Class: 30 kg

• Economy Class: 15 kg

• Infant without seat: 10 kg + 1 stroller (free)

• No piece limit; only total weight matters for domestic flights.

International & Regional Flights (Piece Concept)

Allowance varies by route, but standard rules:

• First Class: 3 pieces, up to 32 kg per piece, max size: 158 cm (L+W+H)

• Business Class: 2 pieces, up to 32 kg per piece

• Premium Economy: 2 pieces, up to 23 kg per piece

• Economy Class: 1 piece, up to 23 kg per piece (For some North America / Europe routes: 2 pieces)

• Infants (without seat): 1 piece up to 10 kg, plus stroller (free)

Oversized / Overweight Baggage

• Maximum accepted per piece: 32 kg

• Baggage exceeding 158 cm may incur oversized fees

• Extra-piece and overweight charges depend on route
