Compensation for Missing Baggage
Missing Baggage on Non-ANA Flights
Note: If your flight was operated by another airline (codeshare), contact that airline for assistance.
ANA uses a joint baggage search system to locate missing baggage:
Note: If you don't have a reference number, visit the baggage service desk at the arrival airport.
For faster baggage retrieval, provide details about the contents of your missing baggage. This will also be used for compensation:
If your baggage is not located, ANA will process compensation in accordance with the Conditions of Carriage. Compensation is typically issued within
30 - 45 days of your arrival.
Important: Make a missing baggage declaration within 21 days from your expected baggage pickup date.
If your baggage is missing on a flight operated by another airline, contact the airline that operated your last flight.
Damaged Baggage
If your baggage is damaged, follow these steps:
Report Damage at the Airport: Immediately notify ANA staff at the airport about the damage.
Contact ANA by Email: If you notice the damage after leaving the airport, email ANA via the Declaration Form on ANA website within 7 days.
Submit Your Claim: Provide details of the damage for ANA to process your claim.
