Passengers traveling with Cathay Pacific are welcome to bring the following:

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Cathay Pacific allows passengers to bring cabin baggage based on their travel class. Economy Class passengers may carry one piece up to 7 kg (15 lbs), while Premium Economy passengers are allowed one piece up to 7 kg as well. Business Class and First Class passengers may carry one piece up to 10 kg (22 lbs) each.

The maximum dimensions for cabin baggage are 56cm x 36cm x 23cm (22in x 14in x 9in), including handles and wheels. In addition, passengers can bring one small personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or small backpack that fits under the seat in front of them. Passengers traveling with infants are permitted to bring one small bag containing essential baby items for the flight.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Cathay Pacific applies the piece concept on most international routes. The allowance depends on the class of travel:

Economy Class: 1 or 2 pieces, up to 23 kg each (depending on fare type)

Premium Economy Class: 2 pieces, up to 25 kg each

Business Class: 2 pieces, up to 32 kg each

First Class: 3 pieces, up to 32 kg each

Marco Polo Club and oneworld elite members are entitled to additional baggage benefits based on their membership tier.

Extra Baggage

If your baggage exceeds the standard allowance, excess charges apply depending on the route and weight. Passengers can pre-purchase additional baggage allowance online at discounted rates before departure through the Cathay Pacific website or mobile app.
