Passengers traveling with China Southern Airlines are welcome to bring the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Economy Class: 1 piece, up to 5 kg, maximum size 55 cm × 40 cm × 20 cm.

Premium Economy: 1 piece, up to 5 kg, same size limits.

Business Class: 2 pieces, each up to 5 kg, same size limits.

First Class: 2 pieces, each up to 5 kg, same size limits.

Passengers may also bring one small personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or small backpack that fits under the seat in front.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Domestic Flights (Weight System)

First Class: 40 kg total.

Business Class: 30 kg total.

Premium Economy: 20 kg total.

Economy Class: 20 kg total.

International & Regional Flights (Piece System)

Allowances vary by route, but most commonly:

First Class: 3 pieces, each up to 32 kg.

Business Class: 2 pieces, each up to 32 kg.

Premium Economy: 2 pieces, each up to 23–28 kg depending on ticket type.

Economy Class: 1 or 2 pieces, each up to 23 kg, depending on fare type and destination.

For all checked bags, the maximum linear dimension per piece is 158 cm (length + width + height).

Extra Baggage

If your baggage exceeds the free allowance in weight, size, or number of pieces, excess baggage fees apply based on your route. Passengers may purchase additional allowance in advance at a lower rate than paying at the airport.
