Garuda Indonesia Baggage Allowance

Passengers travelling with Garuda Indonesia from Kansai International Airport (KIX) are entitled to the following baggage provisions:

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger departing from Kansai International Airport may bring cabin baggage according to travel class:

• Economy Class: 1 cabin bag up to 7 kg (15 lbs)
• Business Class: 2 cabin bags, each up to 7 kg (15 lbs)

Each cabin bag must not exceed 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm and must be stored in the overhead compartment.

One personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or small backpack is permitted and must fit under the seat in front.

All cabin baggage must comply with security screening regulations at Kansai International Airport. Items exceeding permitted limits must be checked in and additional charges apply.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage allowance for Garuda Indonesia flights departing from Kansai International Airport follows the weight concept:

• Economy Class: up to 30 kg
• Business Class: up to 40 kg

Each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches) in total linear dimensions.

The maximum permitted weight per individual bag is 32 kg. Bags exceeding this weight must be repacked before acceptance.

Passengers must ensure baggage complies with the allowance stated on the ticket prior to arrival at Kansai International Airport. Excess baggage is subject to additional charges.

Extra Baggage

Additional baggage allowance can be purchased in advance through Garuda Indonesia’s website, ticket offices, or customer service channels.

Excess baggage fees apply when the permitted weight or size is exceeded. Charges are calculated based on route and excess weight.

Special items such as sports equipment and musical instruments departing from KIX require prior arrangement and may incur handling fees.
