ITA Airways Baggage Allowance

Passengers traveling with ITA Airways are welcome to bring the following:

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger may bring one cabin bag onboard with a maximum weight of 8 kg (17.6 lbs). The bag must not exceed 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm.

Passengers may also bring one personal item, such as a handbag, laptop bag, or briefcase, that fits under the seat in front of them. Assistive devices and outer garments are not counted as part of the cabin allowance.

All carry-on baggage must comply with airline safety and security regulations. Items exceeding the permitted size or weight must be checked into the aircraft hold and may be subject to additional charges.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage allowances depend on the fare class and route:

• Economy Class (Light fare): No checked baggage included
• Economy Class (Classic/Flex): 1 piece, up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Premium Economy Class: 2 pieces, each up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Business Class: 2 pieces, each up to 32 kg (70 lbs)

Each checked bag must have a total linear dimension (length + width + height) not exceeding 158 cm (62 inches).

The maximum weight per individual bag is 32 kg. Baggage exceeding this limit must be repacked into separate pieces.

To avoid additional fees, passengers must ensure that all baggage remains within the permitted number of pieces and weight allowance stated on the ticket. Any excess will be subject to additional charges, provided space is available in the aircraft hold.

Extra Baggage

Excess baggage fees apply when the number of pieces, weight, or size exceeds the permitted allowance. Charges are calculated based on route and excess weight.

Additional baggage allowance may be purchased in advance through the airline’s website or customer service channels. Fees for advance purchases are lower than those applied at the airport.

Oversized or special items such as sports equipment and musical instruments are accepted under specific conditions and may incur additional handling charges.
