Follow these steps to report and recover your lost items.

Delayed Baggage

If your baggage is delayed during your Jetstar flight, follow these essential steps:

1. Report the Delay: Immediately notify the Jetstar Baggage Services desk at the airport. This should be done before leaving the airport to ensure quick processing of your claim.

2. Track Your Bag: After reporting, you'll receive a unique reference number. Use this to track the status of your delayed baggage online.

3. Time Limits:

• For domestic flights (within Australia, New Zealand, and Japan): Report delayed baggage within 21 days.

• For international flights (flights to and from other countries): Claims for delayed baggage should be made within 7 days.

4. Stay Updated: Jetstar will notify you via email or phone with updates about your baggage location once found.

Lost Baggage

In case your baggage is lost, here’s what to do:

1. Notify Immediately: Inform the Jetstar Baggage Services desk right away if your baggage is missing.
   

2. Claim Time Limits:

• Domestic Flights: You must report the loss within 21 days.

• International Flights: The report for lost baggage must be submitted within 7 days.

3. Provide Full Details: When submitting your claim, make sure to provide all relevant information, including your flight details, baggage contents, and any receipts for essential items purchased due to the loss.

4. Claim Assessment: Jetstar will assess your claim based on international conventions and applicable local laws. All necessary information must be provided for the claim to be processed.

Damaged Baggage

For damaged baggage, follow these steps:

1. Report the Damage: Immediately report the damage at the Jetstar Baggage Services desk before leaving the airport.
   

2. Provide Proof: Submit clear photos of the damage and, if necessary, an official repair quote from an authorized luggage repairer.
   

3. Time Limits:

• Domestic Flights: You have 3 days from the arrival date to report damaged baggage.

• International Flights: The report for damaged baggage should be made within 7 days.

4. Damage Exclusions: Jetstar is not liable for damage caused by:

• Wear and tear

• Over-packing

• Inherent defects in your baggage

• Items improperly packed for transportation (such as oversized items like sporting equipment or musical instruments)
