Passengers travelling on LATAM Airlines itineraries from Kansai International Airport must follow baggage rules determined by the operating airline for each flight segment. For codeshare journeys, baggage provisions are applied based on international aviation regulations and the airline responsible for check-in.

Carry-on Baggage

Passengers may carry one cabin bag plus one personal item such as a handbag or laptop bag. Size and weight limits are defined by the operating airline. Cabin baggage must fit in overhead compartments or under the seat and pass airport security screening.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage entitlement depends on fare type, route, and operating carrier. For LATAM-issued tickets, allowance is specified on the ticket and may vary between segments.

• Economy fares may include zero or one checked bag
• Premium Economy or Business fares include additional pieces and higher weight limits

Each checked item must comply with standard dimension limits, usually within 158 cm total size. Individual bags exceeding 32 kg are not accepted.

Extra Baggage

Additional baggage may be purchased through the operating airline’s website or at the airport. Charges are calculated per piece or weight depending on the route.

Special items such as sports equipment or musical instruments require advance coordination and may incur handling fees.
