Philippine Airlines Baggage Allowance

Passengers travelling with Philippine Airlines from Kansai International Airport (KIX) are entitled to the following baggage provisions:

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger departing from Kansai International Airport may bring one cabin bag with a maximum weight of 7 kg (15 lbs). The bag must not exceed 56 cm x 36 cm x 23 cm and must be stored in the overhead compartment.

One personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or small backpack is permitted and must fit under the seat in front.

All cabin baggage must comply with security regulations at Kansai International Airport. Items exceeding permitted limits must be checked in and may incur additional charges.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage allowance for Philippine Airlines flights departing from Kansai International Airport follows the piece concept:

• Economy Class: 2 pieces, each up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Premium Economy Class: 2 pieces, each up to 25 kg (55 lbs)
• Business Class: 2 pieces, each up to 32 kg (70 lbs)

Each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches) in total linear dimensions.

The maximum permitted weight per bag is 32 kg. Bags exceeding this weight must be repacked before acceptance.

Passengers must ensure baggage complies with the allowance stated on the ticket prior to arrival at Kansai International Airport. Excess baggage is subject to additional charges.

Extra Baggage

Additional baggage allowance can be purchased in advance through Philippine Airlines’ website, ticket offices, or customer service channels.

Excess baggage fees apply when the number of pieces, size, or weight exceeds the permitted allowance. Charges are determined based on route and excess amount.

Special items such as sports equipment and musical instruments departing from KIX require prior arrangement and may incur handling fees.
