If you've lost an item during your Philippine AirAsia flight or at the airport, Philippine AirAsia is here to help. The Lost and Found service ensures you can easily report and recover your lost belongings.
Follow these steps to report and recover your lost items.
Delayed Baggage
If your baggage is delayed on an Philippine AirAsia flight, follow these steps to report the issue:
Report to Guest Service: If your luggage doesn't appear on the carousel, promptly locate an Philippine AirAsia guest service representative at the baggage claim.
Provide Necessary Information: You will need to provide your booking number or baggage tag for tracking purposes. This helps the staff locate your baggage more efficiently.
Complete the Property Irregularity Report (PIR): A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) form will be issued. After completion, you will receive a PIR number, which allows you to track the status of your baggage.
Delivery: Once your baggage is found, Philippine AirAsia will arrange for it to be delivered to your local address as per the details provided on the PIR form.
Important: To submit a claim for delayed baggage, you must notify Philippine AirAsia within 21 days from the date the baggage has been placed at your disposal. You can also send a written claim to the Central Baggage Tracing Office.
Damaged Baggage
If your baggage is damaged upon arrival, here’s how to report it:
Report the Damage Before Leaving the Airport: Immediately approach an Philippine AirAsia guest service officer at the baggage claim area. The damage will be recorded for further processing.
Understand Coverage Limitations: Philippine AirAsia is not responsible for damages caused by over-packing, unsuitable packaging, or normal wear and tear. Accessories and minor damage may not be covered.
File a Claim if Eligible: If you purchased Tune Protect Travel Insurance, you can file a claim for the damage.
*For better protection, Philippine AirAsia recommends securing travel insurance before your flight to cover potential baggage-related issues.
Lost Property
If you have lost an item either on board or in the terminal, follow the instructions below:
Report the Lost Item Immediately: Contact an Philippine AirAsia guest service officer at the airport as soon as possible. If you lost the item in the terminal, please approach the relevant airport authorities.
Complete the Property Irregularity Report (PIR): Fill out a PIR form to document the incident. After submitting the form, you will receive a PIR number to track the status of your lost item.
Await Updates: Philippine AirAsia’s Central Baggage Tracing Office will monitor the progress of your lost property. You will receive updates regarding your item’s recovery.
Note: Items left at airport security checkpoints are not handled by Philippine AirAsia and must be retrieved from the airport security office. Items found on board will be forwarded to the airport’s lost property office.
