Shanghai Airlines Baggage Allowance

Passengers travelling on Shanghai Airlines flights from Kansai International Airport are subject to baggage rules defined by the airline and fare class indicated on the ticket.

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Economy Class passengers may carry one cabin bag within airline size and weight limits, along with one personal item such as a handbag or laptop bag. Business Class passengers are permitted additional cabin baggage within the prescribed limits.

Cabin baggage must be stored in overhead compartments or under the seat and must comply with security screening requirements at Kansai International Airport. Items exceeding permitted limits must be checked in and may incur additional charges.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage entitlement varies by cabin class and fare type:

• Economy Class: allowance based on fare category, commonly one piece within standard weight limits
• Business Class: higher allowance with increased weight limits

Each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm in total dimensions. Individual items exceeding 32 kg are not accepted and must be repacked prior to check-in.

Extra Baggage

Additional baggage can be purchased through airline service channels or at the airport. Charges apply when baggage exceeds the permitted number, weight, or size.

Special items including sports equipment and musical instruments require advance approval and may be subject to handling fees.
