Sichuan Airlines Baggage Allowance

Passengers travelling with Sichuan Airlines from Kansai International Airport (KIX) are permitted to carry the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Each passenger may bring one cabin bag in Economy Class with a maximum weight of 8 kg (17 lbs). The bag must not exceed 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm and must be placed in the overhead compartment.

Passengers in Business Class may carry two cabin bags within the same size limits.

One personal item such as a handbag, laptop bag, or compact backpack is allowed and must fit under the seat in front.

All carry-on baggage must pass security screening at Kansai International Airport. Items exceeding permitted limits must be checked into the aircraft hold and may incur additional charges.

Checked Baggage Allowance

Checked baggage allowance is determined by travel class and route:

• Economy Class: 2 pieces, each up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
• Business Class: 2 pieces, each up to 32 kg (70 lbs)

Each checked bag must not exceed 158 cm in total dimensions.

The maximum weight per single bag is 32 kg. Bags exceeding this limit must be repacked before acceptance.

Passengers must ensure baggage complies with the allowance stated on the ticket before arriving at Kansai International Airport. Excess baggage is subject to additional charges.

Extra Baggage

Additional baggage allowance may be purchased through Sichuan Airlines’ website or service counters. Prepaid rates apply lower charges than airport purchases.

Excess baggage fees apply when the permitted number of pieces, size, or weight is exceeded. Charges are calculated based on route and excess weight.

Special items such as sports equipment may require prior approval and may incur handling fees.
