If you have misplaced an item during your South African Airways journey or within the airport, assistance is available. The Lost and Found service allows passengers to report missing belongings and facilitates their recovery.

Follow the steps below to report and retrieve your lost items.

Items Left on Board the Aircraft

Items left onboard South African Airways flights arriving at Kansai International Airport are collected by cabin crew and handed over to ground staff for documentation and storage.

Items Lost at the Airport

Personal belongings misplaced within Kansai International Airport terminals, including check-in areas and boarding gates, are managed by the airport’s Lost and Found department.

Baggage-Related Lost Property

Passengers must report delayed or missing checked baggage immediately upon arrival at Kansai International Airport. A Property Irregularity Report (PIR) will be issued for tracking purposes.

Reporting a Lost Item

Passengers should provide flight information, baggage tag numbers, and a detailed description of the missing item when reporting through airport offices or South African Airways customer service.

Recovery and Collection

Recovered items are held for a limited period at Kansai International Airport. Collection requires valid identification and proof of ownership. Delivery options may be available depending on circumstances.
