If you've lost an item during your Swiss International Airlines flight or at the airport, Swiss International Airlines is here to help. The Lost and Found service ensures you can easily report and recover your lost belongings.
Follow these steps to report and recover your lost items.
Delayed Baggage
If your checked baggage has been delayed, Swiss International Air Lines works with the SITA WorldTracer system to track your bag. Here’s how to proceed:
File a Report: Report the delayed baggage at the airport or contact Swiss International Air Lines for assistance.
Track Your Bag: Use the SITA WorldTracer system to check the status of your baggage. This system helps you track and update delivery and contact information.
Track at Specific Airports: If you're arriving at Zurich (ZRH), Geneva (GVA), Basel (BSL), Berlin (BER), Rome (FCO), Edinburgh (EDI), Dublin (DUB), Las Vegas (LAS), or New York (JFK), you can also use the Swissport online tracker for delayed baggage.
Update Information: Ensure your contact details are accurate so Swiss International Air Lines can deliver your baggage to the correct address. You can update delivery and contact details if needed through the tracking system.
Damaged Baggage
If your baggage arrives damaged, follow these steps:
Report Immediately: Visit the baggage service desk at the airport immediately after noticing damage to your bag. A report will be filed, and you’ll receive a reference number for tracking purposes.
Complete a Report: Fill out a damaged baggage report at the airport. The airline will assist in resolving the issue and may offer compensation, depending on the extent of the damage.
Follow Up: Keep your reference number handy and follow up with the baggage service or Swissport for updates. If you are unable to resolve the issue within 5 days, contact the airline for further assistance.
