If you've lost an item during your United Airlines flight or at the airport,
United Airlines is here to help. The Lost and Found service ensures you can easily report and recover your lost belongings. Follow these steps to report and recover your lost items.
Items Lost within the Airport
For items lost in public areas of the airport, such as restrooms, shops, security
checkpoints, or the terminal building, please contact the airport's Lost & Found
centre. The general airport contact number for lost property queries is
+81 72 455 2500.
Items Lost Onboard or at the Gate
If your item was left onboard a United flight, or in the boarding‑gate area, you
should contact United Airlines' ground handling or baggage service team at
Kansai Airport directly. Provide your flight number, date of travel, seat number and a
clear description of the lost item.
The airline's staff at the check‑in or
departure area may assist in tracing the item through the carrier's internal
system.
Important Additional Information
When using the airport's lost‑property form: note that items lost more than 3
months ago may no longer be retrievable.
For items still within the airline's control (onboard, gate area), contacting
United as soon as possible increases your chances of recovery.
Valuable items (passports, IDs) may be transferred to the airport police for
safekeeping.
For in‑person help, visit the
Information Counter in Terminal 1, which can
direct you to the proper Lost & Found desk.
