Cancellation and Refund Policy

Virgin Atlantic provides cancellation and refund options based on fare conditions. The applicable rules depend on ticket type and operating carrier.

Cancellation Policy

24-hour Cancellation

Tickets may be canceled within 24 hours of booking for a full refund if eligibility conditions are met.

Non-refundable Tickets

Economy Light and selected discounted fares do not allow refunds after cancellation. Ticket value may be retained as travel credit subject to fare rules.

Refundable Tickets

Flexible fares allow cancellations with refunds issued to the original form of payment after applicable deductions.

How to Cancel

Bookings can be modified or canceled via the airline’s website, customer service, or travel agents using the reservation reference. For ANA-operated flights, changes may be processed through the operating airline.

Refund Policy

Eligible Refunds

Refunds are issued for qualifying tickets, airline schedule changes, or disruptions. Unused taxes and selected optional services may be refundable.

Processing Time

Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Processing timelines depend on banking systems and payment providers.

Baggage Fee Refunds

Fees for additional baggage are refunded only when the airline cancels the flight. Voluntary cancellations are not eligible.
