Osaka Kansai International Airport (KIX)
Osaka Kansai International Airport (関西国際空港, Kansai Kokusai Kūkō, colloquially known as Kankū (関空)) (IATA: KIX, ICAO: RJBB) is the primary international airport in the Greater Osaka Area of Japan and the closest international airport to the cities of Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe. It is located on an artificial island (Kankūjima (関空島)) in the middle of Osaka Bay off the Honshu shore, with multiple 4,000-meter-long runways, it meets the global standards of a truly 24-hour operational airport.

The Osaka Kansai International Airport was officially opened on 4 September 1994.
The Airport is situated 50 km from the center of Osaka
city. It is easily accessible by road, railway and high-speed ferry.

Terminals
The main KIX passenger terminal, Terminal 1, is a single four-storey building
designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop (Renzo Piano and Noriaki Okabe), and
has a gross floor space of 296,043 square metres (3,186,580 sq ft). As of 2018,
at a total length of 1.7 km (1.1 mi) from end to end, Terminal 1 is the longest
airport terminal in the world.
Terminal 2 is a low-cost carrier (LCC) terminal designed to attract more LCCs by
providing lower landing fees than Terminal 1. It is exclusively occupied
by Peach, Spring Airlines and Jeju Air. Other LCCs serving Osaka Kansai Airport,
such as AirAsia, Jetstar Airways, Jetstar Japan, and Cebu Pacific Air, use the
main Terminal 1.

Itami Airport (ITM)
Osaka International Airport (大阪国際空港, Ōsaka Kokusai Kūkō) (IATA: ITM, ICAO: RJOO), often referred to as Itami Airport (伊丹空港, Itami Kūkō) is the primary regional airport for the Kansai region of Japan, including the major cities of Osaka, Kyoto and Kobe. The airport caters exclusively to domestic flights.

Itami Airport has a single terminal building with 21 gates, divided into the
'North Terminal' for JAL and Amakusa Airlines and the 'South Terminal' for ANA
and IBEX. The departure and arrival zones of the two terminals are connected by
a 'Central Block' containing shops, restaurants and a hotel.
The airport is about 16 kilometers away from downtown Osaka and 70 kilometers away from Kansai International Airport in Osaka.
The only direct rail connection to the airport is the Osaka Monorail, which
stops in the northern suburbs of Osaka, connecting to the Hankyu Takarazuka Main
Line at Hotarugaike and the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Railway (Midōsuji Line) at Senri-Chuo.
Itami Airport is directly connected to the Hanshin Expressway Ikeda Route and is five minutes' drive from the Chugoku Expressway, making it possible to reach central Osaka by car or bus in 25 to 30 minutes, central Kobe in 40 minutes and central Kyoto in 55 minutes.
