Passengers traveling with Air New Zealand are welcome to bring the following:

Carry-on Baggage

Economy / Premium Economy: 1 item up to 7 kg, plus a small personal item (e.g., handbag or laptop bag).

Business / Premium Business: 2 items up to 7 kg each, plus a small personal item.

Maximum dimensions for cabin bags: 118 cm total (length + width + height).

Checked Baggage Allowance

Domestic Flights (within New Zealand):

Economy: 1 piece, up to 23 kg.

Premium Economy / Business: 2 pieces, each up to 32 kg.

International Flights:

Economy: typically 1–2 pieces, each up to 23–30 kg, depending on route.

Premium Economy: 2 pieces, each up to 32 kg.

Business / Premium Business: 3 pieces, each up to 32 kg.

Infants (under 2 years old) are usually allowed 1 piece of checked baggage up to 10 kg.

Notes

Maximum weight per individual bag: 32 kg.

Maximum linear dimensions per bag: 158 cm.

Extra baggage can be purchased in advance online for lower rates.

Oversized or overweight bags may incur additional fees at the airport.
