Airport Counter Check-in

The amount of time needed to complete all check-in requirements varies depending on your itinerary. Japan Airlines recommends arriving early to ensure a smooth check-in process.

• Check-in: Available 2 hours to 30 minutes before departure for domestic flights; Available 3 hours to 1 hour before departure for international flights.
  

• Location: Terminal 1, Kansai International Airport

Auto Check-in

Japan Airlines offers automatic check-in 24 hours before departure for eligible passengers, sending your boarding pass via email. Simply enter your passport details on the JAL website or app to activate the service and skip manual check-in.

Eligibility for Auto Check-in

Auto Check-in is available for most passengers, but there are some exceptions:

• Bookings made through third parties, such as travel agencies or other airlines.
  

• Package or tour tickets.
  

• Passengers needing special assistance.
  

• Multiple flights on the same day under the same booking.
  

• Passengers with incorrect or outdated flight information.
  

Note: If you are not eligible for Auto Check-in, you can still check in at the airport.

Online / Mobile Check-in

Skip the queues at the airport by checking in online or through the Japan Airlines (JAL) mobile app. Here's what you need to know:

• Online & Mobile Check-in: Available 24 hours to 1 hour before departure.
  

• Excluding: Infants, unaccompanied minors, and those with special assistance needs.
  

Note: If online or mobile check-in is unavailable, please proceed to the Japan Airlines counter to check in and drop off your baggage. It is recommended to check in early to avoid long queues and ensure a smoother airport experience.

Kiosk Check-In

For faster check-in at the airport, use the kiosk:

• Check-in: Available 9 hours to 30 minutes before departure for domestic flights; Available 3 hours to 1 hour before departure for international flights.
  

• Location: 4F, Terminal 1, Kansai International Airport
  

Note: Kiosk check-in is unavailable for unaccompanied minors, passengers with an extra seat booking, or those needing special assistance.

How to Check-In Using a Kiosk:

1. Search for booking.
   

2. Select passenger(s).
   

3. Confirm your details.
   

4. Select your seat.
   

5. Scan your passport.
   

6. Check baggage allowance.
   

7. Print your boarding pass.
