Lost and Found

If you've lost an item during your Japan Airlines flight or at the airport, Japan Airlines is here to help. The Lost and Found service ensures you can easily report and recover your lost belongings. Follow these steps to report and recover your lost items.

Items Lost Inside the Airport Terminal

If you lost something in the terminal (check-in counters, security, shops, lounges, restaurants), go to the airport Information Counter in Terminal 1.

You can also call the airport’s 24-hour information line to report lost items.

Be prepared to provide details like where you think you lost the item, a description, and your contact info.

Items Lost Onboard or at the Gate

For items left on the aircraft or at the JAL gate, contact JAL ground staff at KIX.

When reporting, give:

• Your flight number

• Date of travel

• Seat number

• A detailed description of the lost item

Retrieval & Collection

If your item is located, you may pick it up at Kansai Airport (KIX).

If you can’t collect it personally, you can authorize someone in writing to pick it up for you (they may need your permission in writing and ID).

You will likely need to present proof of ownership (like a boarding pass or description of the item) when claiming it.
